Install so an mp4 compressor can run

How to write an MP4
- Install HandBrake with the command on this page, or take
HandBrake-1.11.2-x86_64-Win_GUI.exefrom GitHub Releases (ARM:HandBrake-1.11.2-arm64-Win_GUI.exe). Add .NET Desktop Runtime 10 from Microsoft if needed. - Open HandBrake. You want a desktop window.
- Open the video you already have. MKV, MOV, TS, WebM, or an MP4 you want to rewrite can all be a source. The app reads the file, not the hope in the filename.
- Set the output to MP4 in the app. That is the container for this job. Browse a destination that ends as an MP4, or pick MP4 in the format control HandBrake shows. We will not invent a preset title.
- Start encode. Wait until the write finishes.
- Confirm the new file is an MP4. The name should end .mp4. Open it once in a player that likes that box.

Confirm the file is an MP4
When encode finishes, look at the output. The extension should be .mp4. Open it in a player you already have. If Windows opens it and the picture plays, you have an MP4 a normal PC can read. Copy it to a phone and open it there if the phone was the reason you wanted this box.
If the player says the file is damaged, the write may have been cut off. Encode again. If the player opens it as a still, you may have pointed at the wrong output. Sort the folder by date. Open the new file.
Properties in Explorer should show a video. A zero-byte .mp4 is not a success. Delete it and encode again. Disk full is a common reason. Free space first.
